Good news!!!! For students seeking admission into tertiary institution , this is for you .

The Joint admission and matriculation board , JAMB has finally released the cut off mark for university and polytechnics in Nigeria.

The cutoff mark was brought down lower to 180 for Universities while 150 for Polytechnics and Colleges of education.

After extensive deliberations and vote by all representatives of all institutions that require jamb scores at the policy meeting scheduled to be held today, The permanent secretary, Ministry of Education, McJohn Nwaoibala, and The Registrar, Dibu Ojerinde, made this announcement at the press conference in Abuja July 14th 2015. .

Do you think the chosen cut off marks will favour those seeking admission ?

So my question is why is the cutoff mark different for universities and Polytechnics?
