Growing Up

Born Tolulope Adesua Etomi on on the 22nd of February, 1988, in Owerri, Imo State.

Adesua Etomi is the youngest of three children. Her father was a soldier from Esan, Edo state and her mother is a Civil Engineer of Yoruba descent.

The Eomis moved to lagos when Adesua was Three.

Narrating her first experienceonstage ,

it was for a stage production of ‘The beauty and the beast’. It was musical and i was so excited. I loved to sing and i had decided that i wanted to act as well after watching ‘Coming to America’. I was the happiest dancing, singing dish in the whole wide world (laughs). -Adesua



Adesua Kicked off her elementary education at Corona ,Victioria Island.

At the age of 7, she became a member of the drama club at primary school, Corona School, Victoria Island.

Going to Corona made me realise my love for the arts. I joined the drama club and the first project i was a part of was ‘The beauty and the beast’. I was one of the ‘dishes’ that came to life and i couldn’t have been happier (laughs). I just never thought i would pursue it as a career- Adeua Etomi

She left Corona School at primary 5 and then went on to further her education at Queen’s College.

Adesua moved to the UK when she was 13 years old. She obtained a diploma in music theater, physical theater, and performing arts from The City College in Coventry, United Kingdom.

The future star also graduated the University of Wolverhampton in 2009 with First-class Honours in drama and performance and and ‘The Foursight Theatre Award’.



Adesua Etomi hobbies include singing, dancing, playing the guitar, working out and swimming.

This Nollywood pearl is a multi-talented person. In her leisure times, Adesua enjoys singing, dancing, playing the guitar and swimming.


Adesua Etomi has always had a passion for acting right from childhood. She started her acting career in the theater while studying in the UK.

I love the stage because there’s something about the fact that it’s live, it’s in the moment. For the next hour or more, you’re transported to a different world where all your senses are engaged. You’re right there, a part of the story. I love acting and i will take it in whatever form it presents itself. I’m just a vessel. I love both platforms because i get to do what i love most: Act – Mrs Bankyw

She featured in different plays such as “The Crucible”, “Miss Saigon”, “Jesus Christ Superstar”, “Fractal”, “The Grimm Tales”and “Not My Cup Of Tea”.

After graduating from the university, Adesua ventured away from acting for three years to experience the world.

She returned back to Nigeria in 2012 and resumed her to acting in 2013, featuring at the Saga Tiata-Edinburg Fringe Festival in a drama titled “The Miller’s Tale”.

After moving to Nigeria, Adesua featured in different plays such as “Anatomy Of A Woman”, “Shattered”, “Crystal Slippers”, “London Life Lagos Living”, “Saro”, “Secret Life Of Baba Segi’s Wives”, “Band Aid”, and “Make We”.

Adesua Etomi got her first big screen movie role in 2014, starring as Debbie in the movie, “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”.

Since then, she has featured in the following movies: “Fall” “A Soldier’s Story” “Out of Luck” “Couple of Days” “And The Spirit Slowly Dies” “The Arbitration” “The Wedding Party” “Ayamma: Music In The Desert” “10 Days In Suncity” She has also featured in Television Series such as “Gidi Up”, “Las Gidi Cops” and “Shuga”.

Adesua Etomi was also a reporter/presenter at one point in 2012.
